I understand that all skaters must become a member of the Lumsden Sports Association Inc.
I further understand that Lumsden Skating Club fees are payable at the time of registration. These fees may be paid in full on the day of registration (cash or cheque), or by post-dated cheques, payable the first of each month, up to and including March 1st, 2011. Cheques are payable to the Lumsden Skating Club.
The Lumsden Skating Club, their professionals and staff, the Lumsden Sports Association Inc. and the Town of Lumsden shall not be responsible for any damages, injury, or loss of property to any member of the club, or guest, or visitors taken to the club premises, regardless of the reason or nature of such damage, loss or injury; and further, every member, guest or visitor shall use the club premises and facilities at this or her own risk.

Lumsden Skating Club Ice Carnival March 28th 2010
Dear parents, it is that time again for our ice carnival! This year has flown by so fast and it is time to work on our final show. The carnival will be on Sunday, March 28th at 1pm -3pm. Our Theme this year is “Music Legends”. We would like to ask that all skaters start attending both Monday and Thursday classes starting on Monday March 8th. Our dress rehearsal will be on Thursday March 25th, we ask that your child comes to this in full costume because I will also be doing photos this day. We will be doing dress rehearsal in 15 min. intervals this year so you child’s group will have a specific time that they will be on the ice. You will need to have your child’s skates on at least 5 min. before the time they are to go on the ice, following their skate they will be getting their photos done and then you can leave as soon as they are done.
For our raffle table this year we are again asking each parent to bring one item to raffle off. You have the option of buying an item or getting it donated. We are including a letter for businesses for you to have if you are wanting to get it donated.
There will be 1 photo package this year which will include – 1 8x10 collage with group & individual photo, 2 4x6’s and 8 trading cards for $20. I will be also offering aluminum water bottles with your child’s individual photo on it for $25. If you would like the water bottle you can let me know when you bring your money. We will be collecting money for the photos on Monday March 22nd .
We will have a sign up sheet at the rink for set up, take down, raffle table and doors. We will also need a parent-rep form each canskate group to be in charge of making sure everyone in their group is ready to go on the ice at the appropriate time. Please let me know who the parent-rep is for your group by March 15th. Everyone is obligated to sign up for at least one thing and if you do not mark your name down, we will mark you down where we need you. If you are working the raffle table you are not expected to sit at it if your child is skating, you can leave the table and watch your child skate and return when they have finished.
I am including the groups and the song that the group will be skating to so you can start figuring out costumes and so you can get your parent-rep figured out as well. Please let me know if there are any spelling errors for your child’s name so we can have the correct spelling on the program.
